The **WCR Chief Operating Office** reports directly to the CRO of Wholesale Credit Risk (WCR) and has responsibility for coordinating across all the ICG Independent Risk teams to ensure for efficient management of multi-disciplinary processes. This includes budget management, staffing plans and resource allocation, coordination of regulatory responses, active participation in all the key implementation initiatives affecting wholesale credit, project management oversight, issue management and other critical controls for the independent risk management of Citi's ICG products and clients globally.


COO partners with 1st, 2nd and 3rd line units to leverage opportunities to improve processes and tools. The organization will continue to build a strong governance culture for ICG Risk and interface globally with regulators to ensure continuity, consistency, and clarity in our interactions.


The centralized **Business Management function for WCR** reporting to the WCR COO is to ensure full compliance to our internal policies and ever growing regulatory expectations. The team is focused on proactive limit and issue management, remediation activities, controls, regulatory communication preparations and escalations.


**Risk Rating Models Business Manager** (VP) will work within the WCR Business Management Team in the WCR COO Office to assist the coordination of key activities in relation to model risk governance across 200+ risk models sponsored by WCR Risk Managers. It will be part of the Business Management Model Risk Governance Team. This position will work on implementation of risk rating model governance framework for WCR owned models and assist the model risk governance activities across the large group of model sponsors. The main goal of the position will be to ensure all risk rating models are compliant with regulatory & Citi policy requirements and are properly monitored to ensure all business decisions continue to satisfy risk appetite framework requirements overseen by Independent Risk Management.


**Responsibilities** **:**


+ Support implementation of governance framework for risk rating models for the WCR organization.

+ Provide inputs to broader coordination efforts in engagement with regulators and Internal Audit to evidence transparent and robust compliance with external rules and internal policies on model risk management

+ Document and assist coordination with Independent Risk, Model Risk Management, and other 2nd Line of Defense teams to communicate on-going monitoring results, highlighting risks associated with model governance performance as well as ensure models are developed and used in compliance with internal and regulatory guidelines

+ Support efforts around outstanding issues (e.g. model limitations, CAPs, or regulatory findings) to ensure they are identified, escalated, tracked and reported

+ Support the remediations in the area of risk rating models

+ Coordinate with various modeling teams in WCR and CORA to ensure team-specific procedures are consistent with firm wide policies and procedures; maintain a repository containing specific team policies and procedures as well as models documentation.

+ Support the control processes for model risk in WCR, with focus on risk rating models; ensure that required controls are well documented and with robust monitoring and reporting in place (e.g. EUC and MCA/ARCMs)


+ Assistance to risk rating model sponsors in compiling materials to support the model sponsor semi-annual attestation process,

+ Support on-time and quality submissions of Ongoing Performance Assessments (OPAs), Annual Model Reviews (AMRs), Model Change Addendums (CAs) and limitations for all risk rating models in scope through the Model Risk Management tracking platform (iMRMS)

+ Use statistical and non-statistical modeling expertise and analytical skills to provide meaningful insights on model performance and recommendations regarding ongoing usage of these models

+ Engage with WCR teams to complete regular risk and control monitoring (ARCMs) assessments for risk rating models


Qualifications:


+ 5+ years relevant experience required (e.g. governance, statistical modeling, model management, audit/compliance)

+ Prior knowledge of statistical and non-statistical modeling concepts (such as risk rating models or counterparty credit risk models) as well as business/risk management concepts (such as basic P&Ls, pricing, Strategic Plan, CCAR/CECL and Risk Appetite Framework) and other industry best practices

+ Drive effective performance tracking and adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements including performance implications of such policy/actions

+ Ability to identify enhancement opportunities and more granular insights that can be acted upon

+ Ability to build presentations to effectively communicate technical information to a wide audience

+ Ability to multi-task, work against tight deadlines, and make decisions independently with minimal guidance from management


Education:


+ Bachelors Degree required focus in statistics, mathematics, engineering, physics, economics, or related quantitative discipline

+ Master's degree preferred
