Technical Program Manager

Amazon is seeking a proven technology leader to implement advanced technology initiatives in Amazon Fulfillment centers. The North America based Technical Program Manager role will be responsible for leading the WW Engineering Integration teams within Technology Engineering Services. The WW EI team supports WW Engineering Advanced Technologies and WW TES in the deployment and development of Robotics, Packaging Automation, Autonomous Vehicles, and new Mechatronic systems. This position requires the ability to innovate, analyze, plan, organize, implement, and manage process improvement projects to maximize safe, economical, and effective use of materials, energy, and people.

Performance Objectives will consist of:
· Study, learn, and diagnose Amazon fulfillment operational processes, identify root causes and improvement opportunities, prescribe improvement strategies and guide the improvement effort.
· Planning and designing systems that increase critical-to-quality (CTQ) business needs by improving integration of people, materials, equipment, software, and finance.
· Leveraging and integrating advanced technology into process design to maximize return on investment and minimize costs.
· Recommending and implementing changes to product design, safety procedures, work methods, and labor standards.
· Project and change management from conception to completion.
· Working with local sites on technology adoption and execution.
· Writing clear test plans, standard work and technology deployment documents, and training materials for each technology.

· Bachelor€™s degree in business operations, strategy, supply chain management, engineering, or other technical from an accredited university
· Experience with Analytical Problem solving tools including Statistical Hypothesis testing, Optimization heuristics, DMAIC, Six Sigma, Simulation, Queueing Analysis
· Experience developing and deploying large capital engineering projects at global scale
· Experience with Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and MS Project), AutoCAD, and statistical analysis tools (JMP or Minitab, SAS, SPSS, R, etc.)
· Experience with change management and influencing, negotiating and communicating across multiple organization levels.


· Masters degree in business operations, strategy, supply chain management, engineering, other technical from an accredited university, or MBA
· Working knowledge in project development methodology, clear verbal and written communication skills, has the ability to handle daily activities in a dynamic environment and drive deliverables
· Experience working with complex automated systems and/or automated conveyor in a manufacturing or e-commerce environment
· Experience interpreting mechanical drawings, electrical drawings and/or industrial controls (PLC/IPC) code
· Understanding of robotics system components/controls, HMI components, control network components, motion control, and standard electrical components
· Self-starter and independent thinker.
· Working knowledge and proven track record of success with analytical problem solving methodologies and programs.
· Strong change management and influence skills; ability to negotiate and communicate across all levels of the organization.
· Excellent presentation skills, dynamic approach with the ability to translate theory into practical application.
· Demonstrated skills leading and influencing global business partners.
· Passionate about the customer, whose experience with Amazon depends on us.
· Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 40%

The pay range for this position in Colorado is $108,700 - $160,000 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
