A day in the life
In this effort, we are seeking an innovative Technical Operations Engineer to work within our multidisciplinary team. You will be responsible for developing and managing external custom component suppliers, while using your technical ability to unblock supply chains internally in adherence of project milestones.

About the hiring group
The Prototyping and Integration team accelerates hardware development via manufacturing and integration of new-to-world products. Those learnings are then directly applied to scale manufacturing processes.

As a part of Project Kuiper, you'll be tasked with the initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* Associates Degree in a relevant engineering discipline, or 3+ years direct experience supporting hardware development or production manufacturing in the aerospace industry
* 2+ years interfacing and managing suppliers, requesting quotes, and ensuring delivered goods are on time and high quality
* 2+ years developing and sustaining a supplier base for high accuracy, low volume, quick turn manufacturing
* 2+ years managing purchase orders and logistics activities in a development environment
* 2+ years defining computer aided manufacturing (€œCAM€) processes
* 2+ years performing operating complex manufacturing equipment
* 2+ years interacting with design and test engineering teams prescribing Design for Manufacturing and Assembly procedures

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* 1+ years Experience operating in a lean manufacturing environment
* Detailed understanding of manufacturing processes and their relation to hardware specifications
* Excellent written and verbal communication ability
* Intermediate knowledge of specialized metallic coatings
* Focused on and driven towards automating processes in a challenging development environment
* 1+ years experience programming CNC equipment using hyperMILL, and Fusion 360
* Proficient use of Siemens NX design software
