Northrop Grumman are recognised leaders in integrated, fifth generation integrated battlespace management. Our Australian Integrated Air and Missile Defence (IAMD) Team will deliver truly fifth generation, multi-domain battlespace management capabilities to meet the needs of the Australian Defence Force to defeat evolving air, missile and hypersonic threats. Using proven US-based systems and architectures, our IAMD team will integrate fifth generation platforms, advanced sensors and effectors for a truly joint view of the battlespace and will enable net-centric decision-making.

Due to recent growth and the priority of expanding the capabilities of the IAMD Capture team, Northrop Grumman Australia is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified Supply Chain Manager to provide subject matter expertise, guidance and advice to the IAMD Capture Team.

The Supply Chain Manager will drive and lead the Procurement strategy and associated flow down of customer requirements in supply chain agreements. Working closely with other functional team members, you will also assist developing, implementing and managing the appropriate procurement governance processes and procedures.

The successful candidate will have had significant experience in commercial environments, team leadership, managing large, end-to-end complex supply chain strategies and will have preferably had defence industry experience.

**Key duties & responsibilities:**

+ Seeking, building and maintaining relationships with key suppliers and partners
+ Developing, driving and managing Northrop Grummans procurement requirements
+ Managing Supply Chain functional activities for the program(s) across disparate geographical locations
+ Developing and managing reporting systems requirements to meet business and programmatic requirements for procurement activities
+ Managing SC responsibilities including evaluation of RFIs, RFTs, RFQs; proposal strategy and preparation; coordination of SC inputs to internal commitment reviews and approval packages and administering current supplier contracts
+ Supporting a positive culture of export/import compliance across the procurement organisation
+ Collaborating with Business Development, Strategy, Financial and Executive Leadership to support Bid, Proposals and internal due diligence
+ Planning and executing successful contract negotiations of a complex nature to achieve favourable terms and conditions
+ Monitoring supplier performance and value for money provisions
+ Leading the development of sound modelling and planning
+ Working closely with the Supply Chain Head Office to ensure the appropriate application of Company-wide Strategies in the areas of AIC and Supplier Management frameworks
+ Driving the procurement strategy with a focus on Australian Industry Capability (AIC) where applicable
+ Attending events and representing NGA at senior levels
+ Managing supplier contractual documents including review and approval for protection of contractual risk as well as adherence to company policies

**Essential Qualifications & Experience:**

+ Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Law, Supply Chain or similar relevant discipline
+ Must be an Australian citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance (NV1)
+ Significant experience managing contracts/subcontracts and supplier agreements within Government, Defence, Defence Industry or similar
+ Proven experience building, leading and managing teams
+ Working knowledge of the ASDEFCON suite of contracting templates
+ Demonstrated ability to structure, develop, negotiate and manage complex commercial contracts with customers, vendors and/or third parties.

**Desired experience**

+ A member of CIPS/CPSM/CSCP or similar
+ Knowledge and experience of Export/Import and Compliance Controls

**Note:** As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian Citizens. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable, as such your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
