AWS Panorama is a machine learning (ML) appliance and software development kit (SDK) that brings Computer Vision (CV) to on-premises cameras. The product management team for AWS Panorama is looking for a seasoned product manager that can define the product vision and execute on it. In this role, you will build and own the product strategy for your assigned areas, engage with customers to understand their use cases, build the product roadmap, and work closely with Engineering and UX teams to execute it. You will work cross-functionally across the rest of product management, engineering, UX, product marketing, and BD teams at AWS to execute your product vision.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will be part of the larger product leadership community at AWS. This community plays a critical role in the broad business planning, working closely with senior executives to develop business targets, influence long-term technical and business strategy, and deliver innovative new solutions rapidly. You will be seen as the subject matter expert for your area of focus within Amazon AI.

You should have a strong product and business background, and excel in all areas of strategy development and execution including go-to-market planning, business development, consensus building, and problem-solving. You should also have a strong technical background and ability to dive into complex technical products.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop product strategy vision and roadmaps, including short, medium and long-term features to achieve the vision
  • Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture for each product and application
  • Understand the customer needs and concerns and define product solutions to address those needs
  • Lead new feature development across different engineering and UX teams and bring those features to market
  • Drive product launches including working with marketing, BD, PR teams, executives and other product management team members
  • Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team€™s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals
  • Champion and gain buy-in for the strategy and roadmap from teams through collaboration, documentation, and negotiation that effectively influences peers and senior management
  • Develop user experience goals, stories and requirements that will be used to drive product specifications
  • Influence senior leaders across Amazon and communicate Amazon AI€™s vision, strategy, goals, status, and customer impact

The location of this job is flexible. The candidate may work out of any of the following cities in the pacific time zone: Southern California (anywhere between San Diego to and Los Angeles), SF Bay Area California, Seattle, and Portland.


  • Bachelor€™s degree in computer science, mathematics, systems engineering, MIS, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience working cross functionally (design, engineering, usability, content development)
  • 5+ years of product management experience with completion of full product lifecycle (from concept through Go-To-Market)
  • 2+ years of experience working in AI/ML domain
Detailed organizational and project management skills


  • MBA or equivalent master€™s degree from a top MBA program
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
  • Understanding of AWS AI/ML services
  • Able to be strategic, but also drive tactics and execution; willing to roll up sleeves and get the job done.
  • Must be comfortable managing and putting structure around ambiguous problems
  • Have relentlessly high standards (is never satisfied with the status quo)
  • Be able to dive deep and never be out of touch with the details of the business
  • Have an entrepreneurial spirit and be able to work independently and effectively in a results-oriented, efficient environment.
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon€™s leadership principles requirements for this role
  • Meets/exceeds Amazon€™s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
