Longmont, CO (pop. 100,758) Longmont Power and Communications (LPC) is conducting a national search for a Safety and Training Manager with pay commensurate with experience. Longmont Power & Communications (LPC) has been the City’s not-for-profit electric provider since 1912. LPC is aspiring to make the transition to 100% renewable energy by 2030. This new position will also be the safety manager for the City’s internet service department, NextLight™, with internet speeds that are among the fastest in the nation.
Longmont is a home-rule municipality located in Boulder and Weld counties. Longmont is located northeast of the county seat of Boulder and 33 miles northwest of the Colorado State Capitol in Denver and only thirty miles from Rocky Mountain National Park. Longmont is home to multiple high-tech companies and boasts a vibrant restaurant scene.
The Safety and Training Manager position will be located within the Electric Services Department, Power Delivery & Operations Division, and will assess, plan, develop, organize, coordinate, implement, and supervise safety training for the Electric (LPC) and Broadband (NextLight) office and field staff; administer the apprenticeship and department training programs; and manage the tree trimming and pole inspection programs, including the oversight of contractors.

Range: $55.55 - $61.73/hour ($115,544 to $128,398/yr.), depending on qualifications and experience.
