Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Construction Site Superintendent Manager 1. This position will be located in either Roy, Utah or Vandenberg AFB, CA and will support the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Forces sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

**What you will get to do:**

Construction Site Superintendent oversees all field operations on a project to ensure that self-performed and subcontracted trade work is in compliance with contract documents and the project schedule. Superintendents also implement and enforce safety and quality control policies among employees and subcontractors. **This position could have up to 50% travel.**

Daily tasks include but not limited to:

+ Supervise the timely and cost-effective installation of the contracted work of either 1) the total project or, due to size, scale and complexity, 2) a particular scope(s), subcontractor(s), or other portion(s) of the project
+ Provide on-the-job training opportunities for Assistant Superintendents and Project/Office Engineers. Encourages and/or participates in staff training and development
+ Plan and organize project work to assure all work is in place in accordance with contract documents.
+ Have working knowledge of owner contract, subcontracts and purchase orders.
+ Know the scheduled delivery dates for all critical path material and equipment.
+ Know submittal schedule.
+ Update project schedule monthly and in accordance with contract documents.
+ Supervise field work force to assure all work is put in place in the most cost-efficient manner.
+ Schedule and monitor field productivity.
+ Implement safety program. Conduct regular safety inspections to assure all working conditions and work habits are in compliance with company, contract and government standards. Take remedial action when required.
+ Implement the companys safety policies and procedures and corporate QC policies and programs.
+ Assist in resolution of scope conflicts.
+ Participate in the project management functions.
+ Assure punch list is completed in a timely manner.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

**Basic Qualifications** **:**

+ Bachelors of Science in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related discipline with 6 years of experience with a large-scale construction contractor or equivalent aerospace experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
+ Ability to Obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
+ 4 year of experience leading field operations.
+ 4 years of experience building aerospace or heavy industrial projects successfully from start to finish.
+ 6 years of experience with the construction process including scheduling, contract administration, equipment, manpower, etc.
+ 2 years of experience working with the Army Corps of Engineers
+ US Citizenship required

**Preferred Qualifications** **:**

+ Working knowledge of applicable regulations (i.e., OSHA)
+ Active Secret or Top Secret clearance
+ Have good working knowledge of equipment.

Salary Range: $77,600.00 - $134,800.00

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
