Supervise, lead, and train Department team members on day-to-day responsibilities, manage Department business processes and systems required to achieve favorable resolution of issues and positive outcomes for the Company. Management responsibility in preparation for projects that may include filings at applicable Commissions. Represent Regulatory Strategies and Solutions on cross-functional teams evaluating or implementing strategic initiatives such as the design of new ratemaking methodologies, tariffs or riders, or the changes necessary to existing policies and procedures to address innovation. Identify, evaluate and analyze business and strategic issues that are impacted by the state and federal regulatory and legislative environment. Develop quantitative and/or qualitative analyses to formulate comprehensive business plans in support of executive management decision-making. Act as an integral expert resource in working with others to achieve favorable resolution of issues. Provide consultation to other functional areas within the Company to ensure actions are consistent with long-term strategies and are in compliance with current regulation. Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with the ICC Staff and other parties. Regulatory Compliance Manage and train or back up Department team member(s) on day-to-day responsibilities, including manage business processes and systems, identify and implement process and system improvements required to address compliance issues and decisions, and be responsible for the design, testing, implementation, documentation and on-going performance of compliance related processes and responsible to rack, maintain, analyze and provide current information on a key performance indicator (KPI). Represent Compliance (or delegate) on cross-functional teams evaluating or implementing strategic initiatives. Under the direction of a Regulatory Sr Manager, act as a subject matter expert concerning a variety of compliance areas facing the organization. Actively participate in compliance-related regulatory proceedings, including expert witness activities. Provide a lead role in the development and implementation of the Company's data privacy policy and data sharing plan. Monitor and coordinate activities to manage compliance performance and strategies including but not limited to data policy, data sharing, commitments, records information management and other regulatory compliance responsibilities. Make recommendations for improvement and implement approved change. Regularly provide senior management with status of regulatory compliance department activities. Apply critical analytical skills in supporting the review of marketing and communication materials for compliance as applicable. Act as conduit for all compliance matters to/from Exelon. Provide expert analytical and operational support to the Regulatory Policy & Strategy business unit including specific segments of regulatory compliance activities.
Position may be required to work extended hours, including 24 x 7 coverage during storms or other energy delivery emergencies.

- Provide a lead role in the development and implementation of the Company's data privacy policy and data sharing plan, including management of associated proceedings before and filings to the Illinois Commerce Commission and related stakeholder processes. Provide governance and oversight for data matters throughout the Company.
- Regulatory issue management and case development, including: Provision of guidance and recommendations to other areas of the Company regarding regulatory processes, policies and the strategies to be implemented in all proceedings and business activities. Work with other departments and outside parties to develop filings and resolve any issues raised by outside parties. Review filings and proposals with ICC Staff and other parties. Review, evaluate, prepare and present expert written and verbal testimony. Analyze, prepare and review responses to data requests to ensure consistency in theme and content. Drive case management for substantive resolution of issues. Monitor outstanding dockets and litigation for progress.
- Regulatory research and strategic analysis, including: Identify, analyze, develop and recommend business and regulatory positions to senior management on issues concerning legislative and regulatory matters. Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of regulatory matters, including the identification of, and research and reporting on, key strategic regulatory issues for consumption by senior management; scenario analysis; risk assessment; and modeling of corporate financial impacts.
- Track, monitor and internally report on ComEd's compliance with its commitments. Provide governance and oversight for commitment matters throughout the Company. Assist with determining new compliance requirements and/or commitments.
- Maintain ComEd's Integrated Distribution Company (IDC) status, including reviewing of external marketing materials, training of employees, and timely responding to matters as they arise. Track, maintain, analyze and provide current information on a key performance indicator (KPI), Represent ComEd for regulatory compliance activities and implement Exelon regulatory compliance policies within ComEd.
- Provide support to the Regulatory Solutions business unit as emerging projects and issues arise.

Job Scope- Regulatory Strategy and Solutions
- This position provides a primary resource for, and expertise in, regulatory matters to other departments within the company, including senior leadership. This position has a direct impact on the success of the Utility regulatory and strategic initiatives.
- This position has an extensive array of both internal and external contact relationships. External relationships include counterparts in other utilities, alternative suppliers, and governmental and consumer parties. The position regularly interacts with attorneys, both internal and external, as well as other departments.
- Day-to-day supervisory authorities include project leadership, as well as the provision of guidance to, and oversight of, other departments per the ICC communication protocols.
- Work is diversified and complex. Responsibilities include: quantitative and qualitative analysis; responding to formal and informal ICC Staff and Commission inquiries; ICC case development, including the development of positions and the preparation and review of testimony and data request responses; tariff review, development and interpretation; development, review and economic analysis of positions on legislative and strategic initiatives; and providing guidance on regulatory matters to other departments.
- This position will also provide functional direction, leadership and instruction to others in the department on project teams demonstrating judgment and communication skills. Work includes the direct oversight of staff members and includes performance evaluations and creating development opportunities.
- Regulatory Compliance
- The Regulatory Compliance function is to plan, coordinate, recommend and support compliance activities throughout the organization for timely meeting of commitments, filing of reports, and implementation of organization initiatives.
- This position has a direct impact on the organization's ability to successfully maintain its regulatory compliance (both external and internal requirements), which impacts ComEd's reputation and its ability to generate revenue, recover its costs and protect its earnings.
- The position has significant internal interrelationships. Key internal relationships include Regulatory, Retail Rates, Legal, Accounting, Legislative Affairs, External Affairs, Marketing, Customer Operations, and Corporate Governance as well as other operational and support groups within ComEd and Exelon Business Services Company. The position requires an ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams to provide support for various organization initiatives, as well as an ability to provide guidance to decision makers facing compliance questions.
- The position requires that it be a trusted and reliable conduit of information to, and feedback from, the regulatory areas that impact the organization. In doing so, the position may interface with external stakeholders and/or external consultants requiring cooperation, tact, diplomacy and excellent judgment to further the organization's credibility, reputation, image and business objectives.
- Work is complex in nature and involves both technical and creative skills and an attention to detail, in order to quickly assimilate and resolve regulatory compliance concepts under tight time constraints. At certain points in time, the position requires extended hours to review regulatory filings or to respond to ad hoc requests.

Minimum Qualifications- BS or BA degree required.
- 8 - 10 years relevant experience with a minimum of five years working for a utility or in a regulated environment closely aligned with the utility business.
- Highly effective interpersonal skills and the ability to easily work with people both inside and outside of the company.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to provide direction, advice, and guidance on all regulatory matters pertinent to other areas of the company.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of the electric utility industry and current issues relevant to it.
- Extensive knowledge of the company, and an understanding of corporate and regulatory strategy.
- Broad understanding of Company strategy and business practices, the workings of the wholesale and retail electricity markets as well as the federal and state regulatory policies. Must possess knowledge of the state Public Utilities Act and Administrative Code applicable to electric utilities.
- Strong leadership skills to provide functional direction, guidance, and support to peers.
- Strong working knowledge of PC word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Requires business travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications- Advanced degree in Business, Economics or financial disciplines
- Focus on stakeholder engagement with the Illinois Commerce Commission including Staff and other key stakeholders.
- Highly collaborative role, will need to build strong relationships across the business.
- Role requires a high level of professionalism and accuracy as we provide detailed updates to Senior Leadership on regulatory proceedings, experience in Regulatory and or Regulatory Legal terminology is a plus.
