Description

An entry-level to mid-level attorney handling real estate and related legal matters and projects under the supervision of a managing or supervising attorney and coordinating with real estate specialists. Carries out legal assignments, including research and preparation of real estate rights contracts and closing documents.
Performs non-routine legal assignments.

Primary Duties
  • Performs broad and moderately complex legal assignments that are varied. Reviews and analyzes company rights in title documents, deeds, and other property rights documents. Analyzes and drafts documents to protect real property assets of the Company. Represents Exelon in municipal or county proceedings and/or relevant public meetings and at closings. Advises clients with respect to all legal matters.
  • Responsible for developing an understanding of each assigned client’s business and business
    philosophy.
  • Prepare, and revise as necessary, budgets and early matter assessments for all matters
    involving outside counsel.
  • Projects / duties as assigned.
Job Scope
  • Supports more experienced attorneys and real estate specialists in ongoing relationships and complex real estate and other related matters with Business Units and outside counsel.
  • Able to think strategically and work with Business Units to achieve Company objectives and manage risk.
Minimum Qualifications
  • An LLB or JD from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdictions. At least 4 years of professional experience in a specialized area of law. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Requires excellent legal research, analytical abilities and on ongoing knowledge of federal and/or state law as required by the position.
  • Must have the ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing; to read and analyze legal materials and other data; to work in stressful conditions under time deadlines.
